The World's first THX Select 2 loudspeaker
Atlantic's revolutionary In-Wall Closed Box speakers have changed the rules for in-wall speakers. Finally, inconspicuous appearance and refined, top-of-the-line sound are no longer mutually exclusive.  The IWCB-727 is a totally enclosed in-wall speaker system that mounts as easily as a conventional in-wall speaker using familiar, tried-and true mounting methods.

However, the IWCB-727 takes in-wall sound quality to a whole new level with it's THX-certified performance. Utilizing two 6 1/2-inch carbon-fiber woofers and the newest version of Atlantic's renowned Low Resonance Tweeter™, the 727 has an incredibly smooth, accurate, detailed sound. It also has the guts and power-handling required to fill the largest home theaters with movie sound effects and music at lifelike levels. 

The IWCB-727 is what we call a "2 1/2-way" speaker system. One of the woofers covers the bass and midrange, while the other woofer handles just the bass. This configuration gives the 727 its high output and stunning bass-midrange impact, while preserving wide vertical dispersion.

Particularly noteworthy is Atlantic's exclusive Directional Vector Control (DVC™), which directs the tweeter's output down at the listener's ears electronically, without the acoustic and mechanical drawbacks of ordinary "pivoting tweeters."

The GFR-626 grille/frame assembly is packaged and sold separately, so the grilles and frames can be installed and painted during the construction phase, and the speakers themselves can be installed later on.
